| Argo Tours & Safaris |
We will continue guided tours with our new amphibious vehicle. Our site has the unique advantage of access to many kilometers of abandonned and deactivated logging trails that begin at sea level and reach alpine meadows, lakes and streams.
You might expect to see many varieties of wildlife, i.e. elk, deer, bear and even cougars. There are many birds that nest in the old growth forests, re-planted logging areas with second growth, and the many varieties of wild berries you might wish to sample.
We will visit high elevation viewpoints that overlook the spectacular landscape, so bring your camera. You might want to include some trout fishing.

| Hiking & Exploring |
Our groomed trails and abandonned logging roads are ideal
for hiking. Our resort is located in an old-growth forest which provides habitat
for an abundance of plant and animal life. Mushrooms and berries in season are
plentiful. We have completed a new challenging trail beginning at our site, up the mountain with a new route to return. Distance approx 16 Kms. The views are spectacular.
The serenity and wonders of nature come alive under the shade of the huge Cedar,
Fir and Maple trees, some of which are over 500 years old. |
| Mountain Biking |
Bring
your mountain bike for casual or serious riding beneath the canopy of an ancient
forest, along trails with magnificent views, and more. We do have a couple of bikes available. |
| Wildlife Viewing & Photography |
Bring your camera to photograph bear, deer, elk, cougar,
mountain goats, eagles, osprey, herons, seals, and more. We now offer amphibious Argo safari tours.

Mainly because of cleanliness and mutual interest, we have not had a bear visit for
over a decade. We share this wilderness with most varieties of wildlife indigenous
to the West Coast and they are great neighbors. Some guests,
upon returning to Sechelt comment that they are “returning to civilization.” We
suggest that they have left it.

| Relaxation |
With
no roads from urban areas within 20 miles and no other properties nearby, you'll find nothing
but peace and quiet under the canopy of an ancient forest on the sea. |
| Beachcombing |
Situated
on the shore, you're only seconds away from the fascinating world of shellfish,
starfish and all the little critters that “hang out” under the rocks
and vegetation including wild asparagus and mushrooms. Pick oysters, clams and mussels at low
tide to cook and enjoy over the campfire. We’ll even try to get you some fresh
Dungeness crab. |
| Molly |
Unlimited
hours of petting our guard-dog "Molly." |
