We are on ocean waterfront , nestled in an oasis of rainforest on Narrows Inlet on the Sunshine Coast north of Vancouver, BC surrounded by coastal mountains, alpine meadows, streams and lakes. Kilometers of uninhabited beach are available to explore. Pristine waters offer abundance of shellfish, sea asparagus and berries. We provide tools and expertise to create your own quality experience while respecting nature, which should be enjoyed but not abused. Waterfront accomodations are only a part of the overall package. Unlike hotels or B&B's, our rates include so much more not the least of which is the boat transportation (60 kms return) from Sechelt.

Happy 2012 to all our old and new friends. Can't remember when I looked so forward to Spring and more time at camp. Visits every week or so are not enough although they do break the the boring routine of winter in town.

Buds are beginning to show on salmon berry bushes which generally forecast early spring. Clarity of water is incredible. The twentyfive feet of water off our floats do not effect the view of the bottom and all the sealife.

Have just responded to confirm a booking for a family from Chicago. They had requested the opportunity to contact previous guests with children who might shed some light on their experiences. We arranged that contact with a family from Atlanta who have visited a couple of times and  who informed me that their children loved the place. Our emphasis has always been directed towards adults but it seems that even in this "high tech" age their are some young people that enjoy nature and the outdoors. Because of the remoteness and lack of "kid proofing", i.e. floats, etc we still do not recommend our place for the very young, i.e. under eight years or so. Obviously maturity is a factor and each situation can be discussed. We charge half price on basic rate for children under 12 years of age to make it a bit easier for families.

We feel we should continue to remind everyone that we are rather unique in that we offer facilities that allow our guests to bring their preferred foods and prepare their own meals. This allows us to eliminate staffing and food costs which are reflected on our rates. It never occurred to me that this is not emphasized anywhere on our website as it is a very important feature.

We will be offering some new programs for 2012 season related to fishing and biking. If you enjoy relatively flat country biking with incredible scenery and lots of wildlife you will be interested in a new project we are preparing.  You might want to have a look at our section on "new for 2012".
